LOOK!!!
It's MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
I'm back I'm back I'm back! I think I fixed the problem with my stinkin' work computer ( THANK YOU kRista and MR. kRista!! ) and I'm back I'm back I'm back!
&:o)
I have to put in an hour of work, but then I'm checking out your blogs ( so you better all be behaving! ) ( especially YOU Carlisa! )
yay yay yay --- I have missed you guys!
See you later!
&:o)
Look! It's ME!!
But the problem with my blob is NOT fixed yet. . . &:o(
What I have been reduced to is this:
I'm typing this post during the job where I USUALLY sit here and hang out on Vox all day . . . and then I will POST this tonight, when I sit at a different computer for a couple of hours.
The thing is: I sit at my
WORTHLESS STINKIN EFFED UP COMPUTER
34 hours a week working on Project A, where I DO have time to Vox. But this effed up computer is the one that is constantly giving me an error message when I'm on Vox. So I can READ Vox, I just cannot put any WORDS into my blob or anyone ELSES's blob. Vox recognizes me as YGRS, it just won't let me DO a damned thing. . .
The OTHER computer that I sit at is when I work on Project B two nights a week ( 3 hours a night. ) From THAT computer, my blob is perfectly fine and I can do everything fine. It's just that THAT project has a quota I have to meet, and that means no real time to sit there and Vox while I'm working. . .
So I'm reading your blobs, typing this now, saving it, posting it tonight. I hate this
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
frickin much.
I feel deprived, rejected, dejected, ostracized. . .( waaah. )
The problem is obviously my Project A computer. But I have NO PROBLEMS with any other website, ( work related or personal )only my blob. And I don't think I feel comfortable going to the IT idiots here and saying " I don't have any work related problems, but I can't blog anymore, would you please fix that? " because I don't think I'm really SUPPOSED to be sitting here blogging, you know?
So here's what I've got to say ( if you're still listening, after all of that WHINING I just did . . . )
Thank you to all of my Vox peeps who were nice enough to tell me that you miss me and you hope I'm back soon. That was sweet of you guys. &:o)
kRista - Did you get a chance to pick your husband's brain about my problem yet??? If so, please let me know.
e2c and Stephel - thank you for the Firefox and Opera browser suggestions. I'm going to try that tonight ( after working hours. )
While I was trying to come up with a solution, I thought that maybe I could create a 2nd Vox account and just start using THAT one instead --- which I did, but the 2nd account ALSO won't work for me. ( grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! ) BUT --- I had to create a 2nd EMAIL account in the process, which I did ---- and the email address that I got is SO STINKING CUTE that it's unbelieveable. ( my little brain is easily amused . . . ) So here's my new email address, and if anyone feels like just saying hello or whatever THAT way, please feel free to do so! My email address is ( are you ready? )
i heart kittiez. . . oh my god, I lubbs my new address . . .
&:o)
Stop by and say hi if you want to, guys.
In reading your blobs today, I wanted to comment:

Auntie Malika - Hello! I hope your part of the world starts to look a little better for you real soon. I can sympathise with you on the pissy outlook thing. . . I hope everything is good for you.
Val --- oh my god! your "new SIL" Georgie is WONDERFUL!! I lubbs the FLUBB hanging over on the dinnerplate there. . . heh-heh!
kRista - Did you notice in the Vox Talks notice the other day, that there is a Vox group for artists who use Etsy???
jaypo - Thanks again for helping me out by posting for me the other day. And your post about Sputnik --- HA! I also remember the drills where we had to quick hide under our school desks. . . what a bunch of morons we all were. . . ( here comes a nuclear weapon! get under your completely open and unprotected wee school desk! )
Aubrey - thank YOU for helping me, too. I appreciated it. &:o)
pyrit - Stop throwing pebbles at my window, womanz. . . u will break the glass. . .
Redzilla - I hope you're feeling a little perkier by now. I LOVED Hubzilla's Ford rant!! Brilliant! And I also see that you 2 truly are a match made in heaven ( or SOMEPLACE good like that! )
Carlisa - play nice with pyrit --- NO El Kabongin'! ( aren't u supposed to be behaving yourself missy??? )
RobbbieDobbbie - I LOVE the pictures you posted of yourself when you were a wee little girl. . . especially you putting a little penny in your piggy bank, so diligently. . . &:o)
I know that as soon as I post this and go home for the evening, I'll remember something else I wanted to say, but forgot to. . .
damned stinking effed up work computer . . .
Once someone on Vox asked me what tattoos I had, and I said that I didn't have any pictures of them. But I just saw these illustrations today, so I thought I'd show them to you.
I have THIS tattooed on the outside of my left leg ( above my ankle. )
I love Calvin and Hobbes. ( We ALL do, don't we? )
Weird thing is --- as much as I love this tattoo, ever since I GOT this particular tattoo, my world has been turning upside down and spiraling. ( August of 2001. ) I have had a whole bunch of unfortunate events unfolding. And I started thinking that maybe part of it is because I am "unbalanced" with JUST this ANGRY tattoo on me. Calvin and Hobbes are fighting! Angry and trying to beat the living daylights out of each other. So, EVENTUALLY ( SOON I hope . . . ) I want to get THIS tattooed on the OTHER SIDE of my left leg:
Well.
You guys know how to get in touch with me if you'd like to.
I miss talking with all of you. I really do.
I hope you are all well and happy. Huggs to you all.
I hope I can come out to play again soon.
Take care --- have a good weekend!
&:o)
hmmmmmmm...
I don't understand computers, so I don't know how or why, but NOW the pictures that put me through HELL all week WILL finally let me post them . . . .
So anyway.
Here are the ocean pictures that I had originally wanted to post ( DAYS ago ) for my Vox friend, foxsydee, the lucky lady who lives by the sea.
&:o)
8/23/2007 Note:
This is the 4th day in a row that I've been TRYING to get this particular post posted the way that I want to. Because my work computer is a worthless piece of doo-doo, I've had to do this one particular post over and over and over again...It will NOT let me add pictures and I TRY to change pictures and it locks up and I have to reboot and start all over again...It has been an exercise in insanity...
So let's give it another go today, shall we???
Back in my August 9th post " come play with me! " I invited my Vox friends to play the Movie Madness game with me because I was particularly antsy and bored. I promised a " special post " for the person who guessed the Bonus Movie first, which turned out to be foxsydee who guessed that the Warm & Fuzzy Feel Good / Family Movie was:
Gladiator
YGRS's Awards Committee FINALLY got their butts in gear, and at last, as promised, here is foxsydee's Major Award for being the Bonus Movie Guesser --- a " special post " with her in mind. &:o)
I chose the pics because she had mentioned in her blog that she was happy that she lived by the ocean. The quotes reminded me of her positive outlook.
2nd 8/23/07 NOTE:
Hello again.
I think I have to give up trying to post this the way that I normally do. For SOME reason that my technologically challenged brain cannot figure out, this particular post REFUSES to let me save this post with the 2 pictures that I wanted to include in it.
So let's give THIS a shot. Even though I don't want to do it this way, check out the first picture here:

Congratulations foxsydee! &:o)
Hello!
My past friday sucked Big Time. It spilled over into my saturday and dragged me right along with it in all of it's Huge Suckitudiosity.
Sunday was " better ", thank god or whoever is in charge here. It was warm, quiet & sunny and Sarah, Deniro & me went to a nearby farm, where you can walk through the fields of growing flowers and cut your own flowers. We cut 2 bunches of beautiful, colorful zinneas for 10 for $1. I got a big, gorgeous sunflower for $1 too. It's one of those huge fluffy ones, without any big seeds in the center. There were tractors sitting idly in the field and of course Deniro had to carefully inspect each one. Deniro LOVES anything vehicular and/or mechanical.
While we were traipsing through the field, one of the straps on my left much beloved & well-worn flip-flop broke... I was able to use a scrap of duct tape from the big can we were collecting our cut flowers in, to temporarily fix the strap. Not five minutes later, one of the straps on my RIGHT flip-flop broke, and I was able to temporarily fix THAT strap too. I felt just like McGiver. &:o)
Right after Sarah had cut one of the zinneas, a big old bumbley bee landed squarely in the center of the flower. It stuck it's little whatchamacallit in each part of the tiny yellow parts in the center of the flower, chowing down it's little breakfast. It was cool to watch the little guy going about his business. Then when he was done, off he flew.
Back at the apartment, we didn't have any vases. I put a piece of colored construction paper around the big can, tied it with a sparkly piece of gold ribbon with wire in it --- and voila! The flowers looked beautiful. Wembley enjoyed smelling them, but is leaving them alone, fortunately.
I put the sunflower in a used Arizona Iced Tea bottle and fully intended to bring it into work with me to put on my desk. I have forgotten it the past 2 mornings... ( d'oh! ) and come hell or high water, tomorrow morning I WILL remember it dammit...
I love the look of the sunflower. It reminds me of Van Gogh's sunflowers. I was reading a little book about him the other night and was astounded when I read that in his lifetime only ONE of Van Gogh's paintings SOLD! Only ONE. How the hell is THAT possible???
Monday morning when I sat down to my piece o' doodoo work computer ( you may remember previous posts where I said how much I HATE my frickin' work computer and how slooooooooooooooow and messed up it was??? ) it wouldn't work at all. The IT guys do updates after-hours all the time, and evidently the past weekend's updates were the final straw for my effed-up computer --- it couldn't take it anymore, and it died.
So yay --- original effed-up computer hard-drive is gone --- IT guys rebuilt the hard-drive or did SOMETHING that sounds like " yay YGRS is getting a New And Improved Computer At Last! " but when I used it for the first time this morning, it's just as slooooooooooooooooooooooow and messed up at the PREVIOUS one was...except it's NOT dead yet.
Yet.
So for awhile, anyway, I'm back in business computer-wise.
And I has bootiful flowers at home.
And yesterday and today aren't crappy like friday and saturday were.
So there's that, right?
Evidently, deleting some of the pictures from my work computer yesterday was a good thing. Seems I'm dealing with a "slightly" underachieving monkey here...one that really can't handle anything * too * fancy * ( like not crashing every hour, and not freezing up in the middle of trying to just *enter* something fer god's sake ) ... one that's not up to performing other fancy new-fangled city-monkey tasks...
So before I delete THESE pictures also --- here they are:
* * * Go stupid-assed monkey GO ! * * *
i has teknolojikly challenjed monkee. . .werk too hard for stoopid heem...
In case you missed my previous post, I hate my work computer.
My work computer is a complete piece of crap.
Remember on The Flintstones, whenever someone took a picture, you'd see inside the camera and there was a monkey sitting there inside it, carving the picture into a slab of stone?
Whenever I do anything on my work computer, I picture the monkey inside the monitor sitting there, carving the info into a slab of stone. That's what my work computer is like, at best.
In fact, I think I just insulted a monkey somewhere. ( sorry monkey. )
I'm trying (trying trying trying) to delete the extra pictures that I have stored on my computer, in hopes that it'll speed the bastard up somewhat. But before I delete stuff, I wanted to share it with my Vox neighbors.
My frickin' computer has locked up on me twice now, and I've had to reboot twice now. ( and this is in between doing the WORK that I'm supposed to be doing...) I'd like to boot the damned monkey right in it's worthless butt.
Let's try this again.
[[ . . . takes a deep breath . . . holds it in fear . . . slides mouse down to the "save" button. . . ]]
" nice monkey . . . please save this for me, monkey . . . come on you little smelly bastard . . . "
